NOTE!!! There is a “Parent Weekend” at the local college the following weekend, so hotel rooms may be in short supply. If you think you may be able to attend, it might be a good idea to go ahead & reserve a room now. A block of rooms are on hold at the Best Western in Lewisburg for $99/night (Queen/King-size beds.) This hotel is about 3 miles away from the Union County Office / meeting location. Call the hotel at 570-524-5500 and mention you are with “Farmland Preservation” to reserve one of these rooms. The Best Western rooms must be reserved before October 8th! They will not hold them at the $99/night rate after that.
PFPA Scholarship – We’re waiting to hear when the American Farmland Trust National Conference will be held in 2008, so stay tuned for Scholarship information.
